I just got a letter from Target revoking my provisional employment because I fucked up my social security number for the background check and now they want proof of it with my SS card—which, of course, I lost years ago—and anyway I’m too incompetent to be employed anywhere, essentially.

UGH that really, really sucks. BUT you can get a new SS card so this won’t happen again! My sister lost hers several years ago and only recently replaced it. It can be done!
